Key Challenges

• Previous DMS solution resulted in poor quality of data and lack of engagement features for property, fund and asset managers
• Solution needed that would improve accuracy of data and initially focus on engaging property and asset managers to create and monitor sustainability action plans – crucial for monitoring, implementing and ultimately meeting their NZC commitment
• Key challenge is the number of Property and Asset Management Teams to be engaged with across many different regions. Data is scattered across many different stakeholders and systems.

Solution

• Leveraging our Data Team we mobilised more than 250,000 rows of data onto SIERA, cleaning as we went
• Through SIERA+ alongside our Data, Consulting and CSM Teams, we engaged with Property Managers on the ESG performance of their assets and the PM KPIs which covers data completeness, commentary (to support accuracy) and the completion of SAPs

Outcome

• Engaged SIERA+ for ~300 assets where they have landlord full or partial control
• Improved engagement across all their PM/AM teams on meter set ups, data quality and action plans, already capturing ~450 ESG actions in under 6 months of the contract
• SIERA underpinned the delivery of quarterly Fund Manager Reports, Quarterly Property & Asset Manager Reports, INREV aligned Annual Fund Reports, GHG Protocol Aligned Full GHG Footprint Reports. All were/are delivered to a high quality thanks to the detailed analysis capability of SIERA.
• More efficient GRESB data collection process through the use of Surveys module
• Foundations laid for NZC progress monitoring and forecasting of carbon performance at an asset and fund level, ultimately “future-proofing” their portfolio
